AZERBAIJAN TOUR

Welcome to the land of flames Azerbaijan. On arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport Baku, and proceed to the hotel. In evening, walk along the Baku Boulevard – one of the favorite vacation spots of Baku. The length of the park is approx. 16 kilometers and runs parallel to Baku’s seafront. Enjoy a boat ride known at ‘Little Venice’ and Baku Ferris Wheel, also known as the Baku Eye. Overnight at Baku. (L/D)

breakfast proceed for an Orientation tour of Baku city which includes: Baku New City and Baku TV Tower (from outside). Later you will go to Highland Park to observe the city and Caspian Sea from highest points and will enjoy the trees and fountains of the Park. Later proceed for Baku Old City Tour. Baku is the largest open air museum in the world and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Its territory of 22 hectares is full of ancient baths, mosques, caravanserai, medieval markets, fortress walls and other 6-7 century buildings, among which we will visit the main symbol of Baku- Maiden’s Tower and the main headquarters of Bakuvian Khan’s- Shirvanshah Palace. Also, in Shirvanshah Palace you will visit the ancient collection of Torture Tools used by European Inquisition in France, Italy and Spain. Later in the evening free time at Nizami Street, known for shopping. The street’s history could be traced back to Baku’s town-planning project of 1864. The street runs through the city’s downtown from west to east. It begins from Abdulla Shag Street, in mountainous part of the city and ends at railroad bed on Sabit Orujov Street, near a monument to Shah Ismail Khatai in “Black City”. Total length of the street is 3,538 m. Overnight in Baku. (B/L/D)

After breakfast, proceed for Absheron tour. As fire worshiping was the main religion in Azerbaijan before Islam, there were many places to pray to Fire in this region. Two of them will be covered in this tour. First and most important is Ateshgah- Fire Temple which was useless and reincarnating over centuries and has reached its glory in 17th century due to donations from Indian merchants, who were importing indigo and spices and exporting salt and naphtha from Azerbaijan. You will hear many great stories associated with Indian people visiting these places for centuries, learn about the Fire Worshiping traditions and hear about famous people that visited this place. Secondly, you will visit the Burning Mountain, the natural phenomenon of fire coming up from ground for over 300 million years our tour program continue with Bibi Heybat Mosque -which a historical mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan. The existing structure, built in the 1990s, is a recreation of the mosque with the same name built in the 13th century by Shirvanshah Farrukhzad II Ibn Ahsitan. (B/L/D)

Today early morning check-out of the hotel and proceed to Gabala – a beautiful part of Azerbaijan with a rich and ancient history. Upon arrival proceed for Tufandaq Mountain by Gabala Cable Car. Later visit Nohur Lake. Nohur is a man-made lake. It was created after World War II with a purpose to supply water to surrounding villages. It has a large tree lined body of water reflecting the Greater Caucasus Mountains in its green blue waters. Overnight in Gabala. (B/L/D)

After breakfast proceed to Baku. Upon arrival proceed to proceed to Heydar Aliyev Center. to visit the Vintage Car Collection. Later enjoy the panoramic view of Baku by Boat on Caspian Sea.
